The airflow rate from the opening of the front face of the biosafety cabinet is about 0.45 meters per second. Cleaning and disinfection of biological safety cabinets

All items in the biological safety cabinet, including the equipment, shall be treated with surface decontamination and removed from the cabinet after completion of the work, as the residual medium may provide microbial growth conditions. The inner surface of the safe should be cleaned before use and after use. Disinfectant should be used to wipe the surface and inner wall of the work table. The disinfectant used shall kill all the microorganisms that may be present in the cabinet. At the end of the day, the final surface decontamination shall be carried out, i.e., a full wipe of the work table, sides, back and glass. Bleach or 70% alcohol can be used, a disinfectant that is effective against the target organism. If you use bleach, this corrosive disinfectant, use sterile water for two cleaning. The work cabinet is recommended for cleaning and disinfection. If it is not working, it should run for 5 minutes so that the gas is removed before the safe is closed.

Decontamination of biological safety cabinet

Decontamination of the 1 and 2 biological safety cabinets is to place the appropriate amount of POM (the final concentration of POM in the air in the cabinet is 80%) placed on the electric disc or frying pan (outside the cabinet). An electric tray or frying pan with a hydrogen bicarbonate of more than 10% of the formaldehyde content is also placed inside the cabinet (outside the cabinet). These second containers should be covered with a lid that can be removed from the distance (e.g., on one line and pulled from the outside of the cabinet). This allows the neutralization of oligomeric formaldehyde to reach the minimum. If the relative temperature is below 70%, there is an open container for hot water.
